Steve Bylenga

Steve Bylenga is a partner of CBH Attorneys & Counselors, PLLC, which he co-founded with Carol Chase in 2010. Steve primarily represents creditors and debtors in consumer and commercial matters, including: bankruptcy, civil litigation, commercial workouts, corporate restructuring, and adversary proceedings.

Steve has been recognized by Best Lawyers in America and Super Lawyers – Rising Stars in the areas of Bankruptcy and Bankruptcy Litigation. He is currently the Chairperson of the Bankruptcy Steering Committee for the Federal Bar Association for the Western District of Michigan. He is also a member of the Board of Directors for the Debtor’s Bar Association of West Michigan; a frequent speaker at bankruptcy seminars; and educated law students in bankruptcy as an adjunct professor at Western Michigan University Law School.

Steve attended college at Miami University and earned his law degree from Marquette University. He was raised in East Grand Rapids and currently resides there with his wife and two children.
